What is Montessori ?
The Montessori system was created by Dr Maria Montessori Maria Montessori was born on the 31st August 1870 in the town of Chiaravalle, Italy and died on the 6th of May 1952.
She qualified as an engineer and later went on to study medicine.
She is famous for her work in the rehabilitation of deprived children.
Her educational system has become a recognised corner stone in child development.
Basically, the system recognises that very young children need access to logical hands on apparatus which when processed correctly they learn about their environment logically, and hone skills to enable them to become self taught and institiutionally eduacable.
